The office space for an emerging cosmetic brand is located in a factory building in Long Island City. With no dedicated stores or outlets, the brand will solely engage in online commerce, which makes the office space its only architectural manifestation.

A new company with both full time and freelance staff required an informal workspace, whilst it was important to have the possibility of hosting meetings and events to clients. Thus, a range of contradictions emerged which were then used to advance the concept: permanence vs. flexibility, raw vs. polished, engagement vs. privacy, focused vs. relaxed.

Raised workspaces, rooms and partitions are placed into the factory floor with minimum interference in order to both reveal the awe of the existing and showcase the new.
